HelloHappy Groundhog Day!A Little Haven for 2022To the Point A just-in-time newsletter published by Lisa Kellogg
Am I Repeating Myself?Since I missed the month of January and have missed you for most of 2021, It seemed right to note this funny Holiday. Mostly though, I wish you a Little Happy Haven for 2022.Dare I say, I am almost there, where I'll be more consistent with these newsletters, finally offer my workshops? Am I caught in a loop of repeating myself like the Bill Murray character in the movie Groundhog Day? Yikes, Please no! Speaking of repeating, I can't resist... Have you seen the joke about realizing that the pronunciation of 2022 is 2020 too. Ouch, NO! So, on this silly day, I wish you a laugh and a sweet reprieve from the challenges of the last two years.
Catching & PeekingA quick update with more to follow soon after I hit another anniversary on 2/9/2022 drawing everyday and posting every week on my Little Haven BlogYes, despite my not following up sooner, I have continued to post my drawing and writing process every week. It turned out, I was not able to do both Little Haven Blog weekly and this newsletter as I imagined. "To the Point" fell off my map. Ha ha, maybe I should change its name... Moving at a snails pace building Little Haven Arts,(inclusive of online shop and workshops), I've been holding off mailing newsletters thinking, I'd be ready soon. Soon keeps jumping out ahead of me. Life has been full and good. I continue to feel lucky to have many good things going on despite the challenges stemming from the world context we've all been in. You may recall, 2020 was a great year for me creatively. 2021 continued to be, though felt quite different, maybe a bit more "heals dug in", resistance with some of my aims. It's not uncommon for me to bite off too much, resulting in unfinished projects lingering. Peeking out at 2022, I know that sometimes you feel ready, sometimes you never feel ready. You just jump. I like to decide ahead of time that when unanticipateds show up to receive any shock through the lens of curious surprise, instead of fear. I aim to welcome the exhilaration they may bring to ones creative adventures. Depending on the nature of the unexpected, this is easier said than done! And, I am getting better at this! If you're curious to know more of what I've been up to, please have a look over at Little Haven Arts. Below is one of my favorite works from the last year followed by a link. Questions?I wonder how you're feeling as you step into 2022? What's Next?
